     Gentle Lips

Your gentleness behold, my lip adorns.

    Through twighlight in autumn breeze,

    I succumb to thee,

in this oh so southern freeze.

It may have been the look in your eye,

The subtle glance that brought us together.

Or perhaps the taste of those gentle lips,

whom I had come to adore.

Thirst quenches in a second or two,

    An appetite fulfilled, ye Behold!

Countless thoughts sail out of my mind,

leaving but one whose touch atone.s.

    Metallic piercings bring sound triumphant,

like gifts Uof wine and dine in operatic overtures.

And the glaze of smile brings forth that gratitude,

to see you beside me once more.

I have learned from your gentle lips,

    simple thoughts on society.

And how your thoughts are dearly innocent,

as they fly as words from thy self.

Truly I remember those gentle lips,

as they echo through my line,

as I await yet another call,

To hear that sweet voice once mine.

Dearly I await a chance to see them again,

    In any pleasant manner,

For the thought of truth has struck me,

A thought that weakens me bended knee.

I know no longer how to approach

your gentle lips and the beauty that accompanies them.

So I must confess to thee,

Knowing only memories of those gentle lips,

haunts my sleep away from me.

    So I dare no longer,

    succumb to your gentle lips,

Those who agitate my heart within.
